Director of Municipal Police

BACKGROUND OF DIRECTOR:​

He was born in Tunceli in 1967. After his military service, he started his career as a Municipal Police Officer in Kumburgaz Municipality. While he was a Municipal Police Officer, he graduated from AÖF Public Relations Department. Kaya, who acted as the deputy municipal police chief in Kumburgaz Municipality between 2004-2009 with the staff of the Municipal Police Commissioner, continued to work in Büyükçekmece Municipality after the town municipalities were attached to the District Municipality. In 2010, he passed the Professional Promotion Exam and was appointed to the Municipal Police Supervisor Staff. He has been working as the Municipal Police Supervisor since 2012.

To ensure the satisfaction of the people of the district by using the Municipal Police - Public dialogue at the highest level, within the framework of human rights and freedoms, with a planned, effective, efficient and transparent working approach.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Directorate of Municipal Police:

 

  • To issue a report of determination to workplaces operating without a license, to follow up the license documents submitted to our unit from the Licensing and Inspection Directorate in accordance with the Regulation No. 2005/9207 on Business and Working Licenses, to ban those who do not obtain a license from the activity,
  • To prevent peddlers activities in streets, squares and passages,
  • To evaluate the complaints and requests received by our directorate quickly with team cars and motorized teams and to conduct what is necessary,
  • To ensure that the documents coming to our directorate are followed up and necessary actions are conducted in a timely manner without delay,
  • To ensure area security and to help other units during the events organized by our Municipality throughout the year,
  • To carry out inspections in accordance with the Law on Police Duty Authority numbered 2559 amended by law numbered 5259 and to conduct the necessary actions for and to finalize the documents regarding public recreation and entertainment places sent from the general law enforcement to our Municipality in accordance with this law,
  • To carry out inspections with the relevant institutions in accordance with the law on the prevention of the damages of Tobacco and Tobacco Products No. 4207,
  • To prepare an administrative sanction report according to the Consumer Protection Law No.6502 and to send it to the administrative authority for decision,
  • To accompany the Development and Urban Planning Directorate, the Directorate of Technical Works with sufficient number of Municipal Police teams for field safety in demolitions in accordance with the Zoning Law No. 3194,
  • To carry out demolitions in coordination with the relevant units in accordance with the Anti-Squat Law No. 775,
  • To carry out inspections and controls within the framework of Misdemeanors Law No.5326, to issue administrative sanction decision minutes for those who do not obey orders and prohibitions,
  • To inspect workplaces in accordance with Article 283 of the Public Health Law No. 1593, as amended by Article 49 of Law No. 5278, to issue administrative sanction minutes in accordance with Article 1 of Law No. 1608, for those who do not comply with the rules, to convey the matter to the Council to have a decision taken,
  • To work in coordination with other directorates of our municipality to assist in their duties,


  • To fulfill the duties and to use the authorities specified in the Municipal Police Regulation, which entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 11.04.2007 and numbered 26490.
