The Magnificent View of the Bosporus Fascinated the Young

1500 culture and art ambassadors from 64 countries participating in the International
Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival which is organized by the Büyükçekmece Municipality joined in a Bosporus tour from Asia to Europe.

Everyone Sang Songs and Danced

The Bosporus tour, which is traditionally held every year as part of the festival, started from Eminönü pier and ended at Anadolu Kavağı. Mesmerized by the magnificent view of the Bosporus, 1500 culture and art ambassadors sang songs and danced all together along the way. The Mayor of Büyükçekmece Dr. Hasan Akgün, who did not leave his guests alone on the Bosporus tour, was with the foreign guests throughout the day.
 

Our Honorary Ambassadors Around the World

Mayor of Büyükçekmece and Chairman of the International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival Committee Dr. Hasan Akgün said, ‘’this year at the festival, we are hosting 1500 young artists from 64 countries. These young people will tell about the beauties of our country when they go back to their countries. They are now our honorary culture and art ambassadors.”

Mayor Akgün thanked the city ferry lines captain and his staff and presented a plaque for the memory of the day. Grilled fish sandwiches were served to the guests who participated in the Bosporus tour in Anadolu kavağı.
